OSD recently launched their “Ambassador” program. It brings together multiple gaming celebrities to support the charity together. If you are deeply into E-Sports then you may be interested in this new coalition.

Big names in game journalism are part of the event including:

- Chris Ball who is a major YouTube/Twitch streamer
- Greg Miller who previously worked for IGN
- Gus Sorola of Rooster Teeth
- Former NFL player Hank Baskett
- Co-creator of Achievement Hunter Jack Pattillo
- IGN host Jessica Chobot
- Nerdist Enterprise Officer Malik Forte
- Veteran and Wargaming America Director Nicholas “Chieftain” Moran
- Patrick Scott Patterson of multiple gaming shows on ESPN, Spike and others.
- Regular gaming host Raychul Moore
- Scott Jorgensen, famous across multiple sports including MMA
- Veteran and entertainment producer Scott Levy
- Community manager for several gaming outlets Shannon Plante
That’s quite a list. These huge names are coming together to promote the OSD cause in a variety of different ways. Streaming and connections will no doubt be key parts of this as well.
OSD helps soldiers all over the world deal with well, soul-crushing boredom that often comes with deployment. Once home, they attempt to help with PTSD and other serious problems.

Our Take on OSD
While we don’t necessarily approve of all those working with them now (Kotaku, Forbes, Polygon), helping soldiers is always a worthy cause. People don’t understand what many of these men go through and how hard adjusting is. You can help with this too by donating or helping in other ways. We’ll be helping as well when the 8-Bit Salute comes up.
