The Operation Supply Drop 8-Bit Salute

Very shortly, this weekend in fact, the Operation Supply Drop 8-Bit Salute is coming up. In recognition of those in the armed forces and in support of them they are having a huge streaming event. Whether you support the armed forces or just want to help with a charity you can get involved.

What the Operation Supply Drop 8-Bit Salute is About

The charity itself focuses on entertaining those in the military by sending games and other entertainment. Only those who have never been to or covered a war don’t think about just how boring things can get in a desert, for one. So they’re raising money to help cure some of that boredom.

The Operation Supply Drop 8-Bit Salute Itself

Over 100 Twitch streamers have signed up to be a part of a 24 hour stream to raise 100 million dollars for troops spread across the globe. If you want to become a part of it as well you can visit their page and sign up. While we understand military support may not be for everyone it works for some of us. It will be happening May 17th through 18th.

The Operation Supply Drop 8-Bit Salute for Gamers

Even those who just enjoy gaming should be able to enjoy a 2 day gaming marathon so you may want to check it out anyway. We will probably get involved sometime later as we unfortunately had a prior engagement with a local con. It should at least be an amazing event for people.

Operation Supply Drop 8-Bit Salute Brief Streamers List

There is not one channel that is going to be hosting this. Instead you can check out this list here to find out about a few of them. There are many more who will be supporting the event as well. So take a look at the entire thing and decide for yourself whether you would like to help support it.
