Nerd News Bites 8: Christmas DLC and fighters - Nerd Age

Just about everything is getting a small update around the holiday season. We’ve rounded up several of them for this edition of Nerd News Bites.

• While this DLC was supposed to be out at launch, they have finally released the Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 Heroes and Heralds mode. You use cards to power up your characters. Check out Capcom-Unity.com for more news.
• Tribes has added Bella Omega to the Team Deathmatch rotation. They’re gradually adding modes until release.
• Mr Karate is being added to KoF XIII as DLC. He’s a long-time favorite.
• Atlus is releasing a new strategy RPG for PS3, Gungnir. If you enjoy games like Disgaea this could be for you.
• Hard Reset is getting a highly extended edition. There are new enemies, levels and even a new graphical engine.

• Dungeons got some free DLC this Christmas.

• Dungeon Defenders not only got some free Christmas DLC, but they also released the Quest for the Lost Eternia Shards part 1. This is a huge new mission pack that can offer challenges even for people at 70. And trust us, the spiders are a real pain in this mode as they can disable your traps.
• Project Rex Kwon Do got the green light quite a bit ago. We’re sorry we didn’t mention it to you yet. We’ll try to get you some inside information later on from this new, hot game from the Minecraft creator.
• Devil May Cry HD Collection is going to be released in North America and Europe on April 3, 2012. It’ll be $39.99 for a very nice package of the original games.
• The Steam Christmas Sale is on right now. Someone also spoiled the events, and the wiki news hasn’t been wrong thus far.
