Nerd News Bites 6: Halloween bonuses everywhere
Lots of small Nerd News this week, with updates for games and such. Mostly though, there are a lot of updates and various DLC coming out for current games.
- The biggest Nerd News is that lots of games are getting small Halloween updates, such as Dungeons and League of Legends is doing their normal Halloween changes. There is also a ghost Nocturne skin, which would sort of be a ghost-like creature dressed up as a ghost.
- King of fighters has an extensive soundtrack bonus coming up for you. Atlus has also released the Cursed Crusade, a third person action game.
- Minecraft’s code is frozen. A shame. But hey, they’ll be doing more after Minecon.
- A Terraria update should be nearing completion. This one promises to have a massive amount of content.
- Lords of Uberdark has not updated yet, so we are hoping for a new alpha soon.
- League of Legends’ Series Two circuit is starting soon. It will have massive media coverage as well as a significant prize of $5 million. And also Graves is tremendously overpowered, expect nerfs soon stalker.
- Metal Gear Solid and Devil May Cry are getting massive HD collections.
- The House of the Dead: Overkill is getting another edition, Extended Cut.
- Big Nerd News, Dungeon Defenders should be getting new characters within about a month. Little is known about the Barbarian or Series EV classes. We like to joke here that the series EV is going to be a robot Evelyn from LoL. We also laugh about the fact that she will be unplayable as there aren’t enough bushes to stand in doing nothing.
- A nice looking platformer based on War of the Worlds is out on XBLA right now. It’s worth a look simply due to its art style.
- We’ll have a ton of Nerd News on fighting games next month, including Ultimate MvC3.
