There are quite a few small events happening lately. We are going to give you our usual rundown that you have come to expect from Nerd News Bites.
Big Nerd News Guild Wars 2 goes into closed beta
While we can’t give you any information on it yet, Guild Wars 2 is in closed beta. We are in the closed beta as well. When it goes out of NDA or we get permission to post some shots we will let you know. Also let us know if you would like a Nerd Age guild and give us some ideas for naming one.
Litte Big Planet Karting?
We can barely believe this Nerd News. Little Big Planet is getting it’s own Kart game. You can expect Sack Boy and the other sacks to have the standard powerups. In retrospect, this move seems natural for Sony. Considering that Crash Team Racing was so popular.
Phantom Breaker informs us that “the competition just got knocked the hell out”
While we think they are overstating their case a bit, you have to admire their spunk. A small company called 7sixty is releasing a generic anime fighter. You can play as several characters including:
- Androgynous anime person Testament, I mean, Infinity.
- Side villain in Gore Screaming Show, Cocoa. Just kidding.
Probably the stupidest character we have ever seen, known only as M, with a weapon called humongous.
If this game is going for tongue-in-cheek humor, it is absolutely hilarious. If they are trying to be serious, this is just sad. We will let you know when we find out which it is.
Save the Furries
We cannot make this up. There is now a game on Wiiware called Save the Furries. You attempt to save little green creatures known as “Furries”. We are left absolutely befuddled and wish you the best of luck.
