In an absolutely baffling turn of events, Naruto has completely turned around.
After a series of lackluster Naruto storylines which became an absolute rut, the author has kicked it into overdrive. He has come out with a swath of new characters, more development of old characters and an absolutely over the top topic of zombie ninjas. The Naruto Live Action Movie of the future looks to be very exciting!
This is easily the best arc they have had since the very first one and we can only hope the author intends to wrap it up soon. If so Naruto could easily go out on a great note instead of a terrible one. And yes, we are absolutely baffled by this. I blame the turnaround on Sasuke getting powerbombed, something that was a long time coming in the series.
Updates: Since this was first posted, the series has gotten even better. They are doing something they should have done ages ago by having Naruto team up with Killer B. Everything has gotten so much better, which in-depth revelations about Gaara and many other characters. It’s exciting and heartwarming as the same time.
Everything has been over the top or at least useful for character building. We have gotten to see amazing techniques from new characters as well as old ones. And we have seen a huge influx of interesting new characters from previous Kages to extremely awesome Samurai. Previous plot developments with Itachi are being remembered and expanded upon. It is like the good writing has returned spontaneously to the series.
But what is most impressive? Somewhere deep down the author really knows that the second part wasn’t great. But now this one absolutely is, and he made a back handed reference to it in the above picture. What can we say about this picture? We agree completely and it really inspires us to see someone acknowledging their mistakes, even on this level.
