Maoyuu Maou Yuusha episode 2 is about the efforts that the Demon King is putting in to help stop the war. At first she seemed to think that she could swoop in and tell the people better ways to plant their fields so that they would have enough food to be able to stop the war. The Demon King quickly found out that in order for people to understand what she is talking about then she would first have to educate the populace.
At this point it is obvious that there are no physical differences at all between at least these demons and humans in Maoyuu Maou Yuusha. The Demon King and her maid are living among humans without anyone noticing there is a demon among them. I hope they reveal what all entails being a demon at some point. Is it just an ethnic thing and they are discriminated against? There are pictures of demonic looking demons, but are those exaggerations?

The romance in Maoyuu Maou Yuusha is really awkward so far. It takes the Demon King forever just to ask the Hero to put his head in her lap. Up until she suggested it, I was not even very sure where they were going there. I also have to wonder what kind of records say that warriors need to rest with their heads in a lady’s lap. The Demon King suggested that it was about to get good when the two of them got interrupted, but with how long it took for her to ask about that I really think that was as good as it gets.
The part of the episode about the serfs really did not fit in with the rest of the episode. At one point they are trying to help the farmers plant their crops effectively and in the next they are telling serfs they have no right to be treated properly. Are they trying to help the people or not? It did not even make a lot of sense why they, in the end, decided to risk their position and help the serfs. Not that they would be risking their position anyway. The person in charge of the serfs probably would not recognize them properly dressed and cleaned up. They do not care about the people below them enough that they would remember what they look like that well. They would just count on someone turning them in based on what they were wearing.
Someone is being delusional.
Maoyuu Maou Yuusha does not like the peasants or the nobility. The peasants are insects that should say in their place and not inconvenience the rich and the rich are ignorant of what is going on. The rich only know and repeat what the common belief about something is. This includes things like that the lords will take care of the peasants.
