Maoyuu Maou Yuusha episode 10 is about the response the southern nations have to the central church and the serfs wanting to have an uprising. The southern nations decide as a group to abolish serfdom and make their own church separate from the central church. The group sends bards out to try to recruit people for their area. While the southern nations are working on their new plans the merchants are making scarcity in grains and driving the prices skyward. When the central nations are blocked from getting grain from the southern nations, the south has to start planning for a war.
Now in Maoyuu Maou Yuusha without the Demon King to guide their every move the Hero, Knight and rulers of the southern nations are making mistakes. Demon King always seemed to know just the right approach and when to do everything in her plans. The hero has become dependent on her to a certain extent, which is why he is so angry she is not here right now. The humans are just trying to cope as things come at them and they are getting into more and more trouble. Their plan for the upcoming war sounds pretty flimsy. Either the Winter King has a way to make sure it snows or they are just counting on something that may not happen.
The merchant appear to have turned on the southern nations now that the Demon King is out of the picture for a little bit. At first I thought the merchant was trying to distract the nobles for them, but then when things went wrong the merchant took such glee in it. Also he was excited to see what they would do about all the problems. Now it looks like he was just amusing himself.
Now we have full knowledge of what is going on with the Demon King. There were hints before that after going into the Underworld Palace that she would be different, but now we know exactly why. Every time she goes in there her mind is altered to be more like a Demon King. She has been putting off getting the full mind alteration, or she would have amazing fighting skills. They are really putting off having her come out and I hope that with only two episodes left that they have enough time for both the war and whatever they are planning with the Demon King coming out of the Underworld Palace.
The Demon King wanting Hero since he was a baby is really creepy. I understand that she wanted to see him because he is a living singularity, but the longing for him is nasty. Also having her mind altered just so that she can meet him, that is going too far.
Look at that Demon King thinking that she can’t wait until that baby grows up a little. Also it is nice that they gave them twintails and short skirts, so we know that they are young. Really though I think that was silly. Not all young women wear twintails and short skirts.
