Episodes 3 and 4 of Otaku na English! Ribbon-chan : Eigo de Tatakau Mahou Shoujo both cover the same topic of the show losing all the cast and behind the scenes people.
After two episodes that had nothing to do with each other, episodes three and four of Ribbon-chan actually have a story. Nothing to do with magical girls, but a story. The studio working on this wonderful anime has run out of money and all the staff are abandoning ship. Seems pretty realistic to me, only they should be abandoning ship even before the studio runs out of money.
After almost everyone has left the only ones left are the producers who wonder why they did not leave as well. Most of the time the producers are shown as anonymous, but for a little why they are tablets from Evangelion. Since the producers were the puppet masters behind the show this seems kind of appropriate. The way they were so helpless and so quick to degrade themselves does not fit though. I can’t see anyone from Evangelion giving in to the pilots demands like the producers did for the cast.
Not going to put up all the phrases from these two episodes. Here are the best ones this time:
This sentence has the wrong tense and surprisingly it has a question mark in Japanese, but not in English. Do they think we don’t use question marks?
Once again a useless sentence that is poorly written.
It is no surprise that this show is totally made in Japan. Even small children that are native English speakers could write better sentences than these.
The English seems to be getting a bit better in these latest episode, but that could just be because they are only putting in two phrases an episode now. At this point I am hoping that no one is taking this show seriously. No effort is put into the phrases they are supposed to be teaching even it there is more effort going into the story.
All those episodes? I wish they would not make references to the show that is only in their imagination. Also the young girls in the bath is kinda creepy.
