Today we want to bring you a summary of the Lost Planet 3 Multiplayer content. This series has continued to evolve over time and has become Capcom’s answer to Gears of War. We think this series still has some good content left before it falls prey to the sequel curse. So let us take a look right now.
Lost Planet 3 Multiplayer Scenario Mode
This mode sets up a variety of offensive and defensive challenges for players. Vital Suits are also a very important part of this mode. You have to combine on-foot tactics and battle suit skill to gain control over the area. This mode is for those who want a deeper experience in their multiplayer game.
Lost Planet 3 Multiplayer Akrid Survival Mode
In this mode three teams fight independently against waves of Akrid. If all three survive they meet up at the end for a team deathmatch mode. It is of course in your best interest to have the other teams die before then. It looks like they are trying to combine the co-op of other games with team vs. but it remains to be seen whether this will end up being a good formula. If all the teams make it to the end all the time then there wasn’t much point in having the survival aspect.
Lost Planet 3 Multiplayer Release Date
Right now the game is slated for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC on August 27th. Most places will be selling it for around $59.99 USD. Of course there will be DLC at various points throughout the life-cycle of the game as well. Those who pre-order also get access to additional DLC such as:
- Multiplayer characters like Resident Evil’s Hunk who somehow is in space
- Additional upgrades to the Rig Battle suit including claws and drills.
