A full voice talent trailer was recently revealed for Lollipop Chainsaw. Perhaps the most important mention is Tara Strong. Tara Strong is known for a wide variety of projects, but it probably most famous for Bubbles in the Powerpuff Girls. She was more recently known for her role in My Little Pony as Twilight Sparkle. But let us get on with the story.
What is Lollipop Chainsaw?
Much like many other works by genius designer Suda51, it is not for kids. Basically the concept is Buffy: the general undead and monster slayer. You play a cheerleader with a chainsaw who has to save her family and the world. In more practical terms, it is a gory third person action game. We can most likely expect similar gameplay to No More Heroes, that is not a bad thing. The art style is a bit of a departure though. Both the main character and enemies have psychedelic attacks.
Stop me if you have heard this one about another game
As far as the story, it contains the normal Suda51 humor. To be precise, over-the-top ridiculous stories that barely make sense. But they are funnier because of how little sense they make. You follow the main character, Juliet, her father, and her decapitated boyfriend on their quest. Her sister has been kidnapped by a big bad boss zombie, and they have to get her back. Much crude humor and off-color language accompany them on their journey.
