King Arthur’s Gold was a small game that many of us had enjoyed playing. Much like many other small, cult games this one is gearing up for a full release. Come find out how KAG will be changing over time. The original game that many of us enjoyed is being re-labeled as KAG classic so people can still enjoy it.
The King Arthur’s Gold Add-ons
The classes are going to stay the same as are many of the different abilities. However there are many additions that are either improved versions of older options or brand new ones. Here are a few of them:
- Fire and water that flows and spreads through areas
- Technology trees and trading options
- New castle and trap options
- The ability to ride sharks
- The ability to tame Bison
- New versions of catapults and battleships
- A revamped art style with a cleaner look
- New maps to play on
So far the game is looking quite excellent. The source code will be freely available so you can mod it as much as you want. They are still working on how you will be able to do that. The game is also going to be on Windows, Linux and OSX.
What is King Arthur’s Gold About?
So for the few of you who haven’t played it just imagine a side-scrolling platformer. Then add digging and building mechanics. Then mix in teams. Then shake it all until the fights devolve from building impressive forts to sending suicide troopers and hails of projectiles in every few moments. In any decently sized match the action gets confusing and insane which is where the appeal of the game lies.
