Kakumeiki Valvrave episode 9 is about Thunder and Kyuma becoming the pilots of Valvraves.
Kakumeiki Valvrave is wringing this death for all its worth.
Most of Kakumeiki Valvrave episode 9 is about showing off the new Valvraves. Number 3 piloted by Thunder seems very appropriate. Thunder is a brawler and it appears his mech could be two with all the arms that it has. Does not appear to be the most useful of the Valvraves, but they will probably show more uses for it in the future. Number 5 is really the star of the show with its shield that can even heavy firepower from the enemy and firepower that can take out many opponents at once. So far Number 5 seems to be the most useful Valvrave because it has the best defense and can be used to stop attacks on the module.
L-elf’s plan to figure out who should pilot Valvraves was as usual perfect. He got people that now only were good pilots, but were also willing to fight to be them. They were willing to give up anything to get the chance. Kyuma tried to become the perfect soldier like a robot for the chance. Thunder got locked up on multiple occasions for trying to get into one of the Valvraves. If L-elf had told them they were supposed to pilot them he would not have gotten the same passion and dedication that he will now.
Only the greatest minds were used thinking up this genius plan.
Finally the students are being trained to help defend themselves against the constant attacks. Having students watching for attacks, shielding the module, and manning the guns is something that should have happened from the time they became their own country. Especially after it was proven that having Valvraves to give to the enemy was not going to work as a permanent solution. Hopefully the new plan they have of going to the moon will help stop some of the attacks on their new nation.

Kyuma seems to have officially gone crazy. Having him as a pilot may not be the best idea when he getting rejected by imagined dead girls. Maybe getting revenge will help him to become normal and respected once again. Otherwise the rest of Kakumeiki Valvrave could be showing his descent into madness.
Don’t worry no matter how many people die it will never get too serious for fanservice.
