Kakumeiki Valvrave episode 8 – You Sunk My Battleship

Kakumeiki Valvrave episode 8 is about how L-elf finally gets Haruto to agree to a deal. There is a lot of mourning for Aina especially from Kyuma. In the end, Haruto agrees to go along with L-elf because he does not want anyone else to end up like Aina. He knows that L-elf is good enough at battle to make sure that the people he cares for will be safe.

This episode of Kakumeiki Valvrave made way too big of a deal out of Aina dying. She almost had more time dedicated to her while she was dead than while she was alive. Especially since I bet this will not be the only time her death comes up. Kyuma especially is sure to still be feeling the pain of her death for some time to come.

There was a series of flashbacks about L-elf and the princess. She made a cute gesture about giving him half her life by cutting off some of her hair to give to him. Because they say a girl’s life is her hair. Long setup just to do something cute. Is that really supposed to be the whole reason L-elf is emotional about her. Obviously her gesture did not change the fact that his life was horrible.

Kakumeiki Valvrave episode 8 her life

Kakumeiki Valvrave has so many inconsistencies and just plain weird things about it that there should no longer be anyone watching this who expects a serious mech show. Just in this episode alone I could pick out many things that made me wonder what the writers were thinking. Within the same episode they had the student council president talking about how the civilians are not supposed to have weapons, so for some reason in this peaceful colony they need battleships. Who were they going to fight with those battleships anyway? The government gave up right away, so they were not going to use them in case a mech somehow slipped in. Were they expecting war between the different modules? Also if they were expecting war then why a battleship of all things? Were the intruders going to bring ships to go against them? Also the plan to shoot the module where the ocean was to freeze the magnets off the mechs. Shouldn’t a huge hole in the module be a major problem for the people inside? Also is that part of their water supply? The plan should not have worked anyway. If the magnets were weak to cold then they should not have been able to work in the first place because space is cold. If it was supposed to be some magical wind blowing them away that should not work either. Those are only a couple of problems in this episode. At this point though finding out what crazy thing the show is going to do next is the best part.

Kakumeiki Valvrave episode 8 Akira

The real tragedy of Kakumeiki Valvrave  is that Akira will hang out with people other than her brother. Poor siscon Satomi.
