This episode of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure is absolutely dynamite. I do not think I was even quite as moved in this part with the original manga. It features massive men doing crazy things. A chain deathmatch and much more.
An overview of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Episode 6
Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure six starts with a very emotional finale. Jojo finds that he can put the Hamon through a sword. Bruford is defeated but regains his humanity. Tarkus is up next while the group tries to flee. Of course they cannot escape because he jumps from the top of the cliff to catch their Hamon glider. Jonathan gets chained and cannot use his powers. The show ends on side-character Poco opening a door for Zeppeli. The next episode will be the climactic battle between Tarkus and Zeppeli.
Bizarre camera work for Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure
This particular episode featured some shaky cam. We also saw quite a bit more of the SFX art. Overall this is really fitting for the pace of this part of the manga. In fact, it seems faster and more crazy than normal.
The cheese has been kicked up to 10
If the other episodes were too cheesy for you, this one will blow your mind. There are more over-dramatic faces. More over-dramatic words. More burning blood and raging spirits. Everything has been taken to the max here. For better or worse. In my opinion it’s for the better. We haven’t had a silly, hot-blooded show in a while. It’s high time the current market stopped being so damn serious.
Getting Emotional
When you have all this cheese, you also get emotion. This episode shows some real emotions. Pride, honor and empathy are all here. We have so many shows were people are just casual. We have lost something important when emotion left.
Things are picking up
We also saw some better use of the “urrrryeeeee” sound that is so popular. Vampires being cool instead of lame is a crucial part of this series. The later chapters suffer a bit from a lack of undead. However this series is looking great and we’ll continue watching.
