Inspire Me and Positive Gaming

When I don’t want to do my work I go play video games. That’s why I was so confused when I sat down to write this today and saw Inspire Me. Apparently it’s a game that is supposed to inspire Glasgow residents to seek work. Yes, I am as puzzled as most of you reading are.

The Inspire Me Game

In the game you have to get to a job interview. You have 10 minutes to go through the city and visit the library or cafe. The player gains skills as they move from area to area. We should note that Inspire Me is the name of a program that they expect to develop many games out for. It was unclear what the actual game itself is named from the press release.

What is the Point of the Inspire Me Program?

Basically the point was to give some kids an opportunity to work on a game. It’s also for publicity for the funding charities ENABLE Scotland and Mencap.

Why is Inspire Me Interesting at All?

Because games are becoming more mainstream many of them are being made without seeing if anyone wants to play them. The target audience like this would be too busy playing FIFA and maybe WWE 14 to even bother with this game. It’s a strange trend that will only continue.

It’s also interesting because we’re seeing organizations turn to gaming to solve real-world problems. So far the results have not been great but it will be intriguing to watch.

The Video Gamer Wellness Program

Strangely enough in the same week, more information on the Video Gamer Wellness Program was also released. It’s an Indiegogo project focused on physical and mental health through gaming. It’s easier to treat physical illnesses or detriments with supplements and medicines. There are lots of products like the Proplant Complete Shake that can support smooth digestion, brain health, and increase energy. Take a look at this proplant complete review to find out more. These products are good at promoting overall wellness in gamers but there are also niche issues that gamers face due to their hobby. For example, gamers might face issues with carpal tunnel and they not get much sunlight so vitamin D tablets might be needed. Perhaps even a mix of nutrients like those in morning complete would do the job at keeping their bodies healthy. However once your mind is ill, your body is ill. And so this program has done its best to target these mental health issues and capture people’s attention by incorporating it into something they love – gaming. We know that there are products like CBD gummies that relieve stress and help relax the consumer, but who knew that a wellness product with the specific target of reaching gamers would ever come out? Well, it’s a good idea if it means such people are going to be healthier. But what about everybody else? There is a range of wellness products out there, but selecting the best one for you can be tricky. This is why the internet is your best friend when it comes to researching them all as you can search for Activated You reviews and more to help you make an informed decision.

Where are Programs Like Inspire Me Going from Here?

As long as there are people with problems someone is going to try to use games to solve them. We can expect to see more projects like this. While most of them are well meaning I am not sure how effective many of them will be. It will be really astonishing when one does have a major impact. Will Positive Gaming have a real effect on our world? Only time and results will tell.
