The Indie Royale second bundle has launched, but we can’t get it. Due to overwhelming demand, the Indie Royale site has had a “bundle unavailable” notice put up and is having technical problems.
Indie Royale, Indie DB and Desura have all had problems on their sites due to the unintentional DDOS caused by the massive rush of people buying Indie Royale bundles. They have mentioned on their Twitter that they are currently adding more servers to alleviate the problem, so please give them some time to breathe. Hopefully it will be resolved soon. Update: The site is back up.
The current games are:
- Night Sky, a difficult platformer with a darkly beautiful art style. It really is an amazing looking game and a finalist at the Independent Games Festival.
- Fate Of The World, a strange strategy game in which you alter the events of the world in order to save it from the fallout of climate change.
- Scoregasm, a shoot-em-up. The game has a variety of unique enemies and bosses which will challenge your reflexes.
- Time Gentlemen, Please! and Ben There, Dan That!, Several games including a point and click comedy game along the same path as Discworld, with plenty of different ways to lose.
While we’re sure the folks at Indie Royale are pretty annoyed and are getting it under control, they can’t be too unhappy that they were apparently selling so much that they got unintentionally DDOS’d. Although all the current facts aren’t clear yet, we should have more once everything goes back to normal.
At the moment they are trying to get everything back in order, so please don’t check Indie Royale right now. When they get everything back in order you should go though, as we can only assume that the price is going up, up, up due to all the attention the site is getting.
