Humble Indie Bundle is not a bundle- nor humble - Nerd Age

The Humble Indie Bundle has been an amazing package for quite some time now. But now it has gotten so tiny that it isn’t really a bundle.
The Humble Indie Bundle had been going downhill for a long time. Even the last one was rather small, although you could get the older ones if you paid a bit more. But now they have really done something very strange: the current bundle is only one game, Frozen Synapse, with the ability to get the Humble Frozenbyte Bundle if you pay more. You do however get the soundtrack to Frozen Synapse regardless.
So what is wrong with this? Well for starters it is one game. We absolutely love and support indie developers, don’t get us wrong. We really like several variations of the indie bundle, also don’t get the wrong idea there. We even have several people who just simply bought this game when it came out on Steam. But the reason the bundle was so wonderful was that a bunch of developers came together to support charity and each other.
What is so surprising is the fact that the game is in the bundle at all. The game is very well done with quite a bit of depth and some nice music. The multiplayer is quite unlike anything we have seen in recent years, and you have to think hard to win. What is so puzzling is that they don’t seem to have sold poorly, although we would need full Steam stats to be sure. So why are they, curiously, the only game in this particular bundle?
We’re not doing this article to bash developers, but to ask them to go about it in other ways than this. They have a huge amount of media resources to turn to, including us. Doing this just cheapens the bundle as a whole. What worries us is if the Humble Indie Bundle simply becomes a place where developers go to easily get their game to the public at a cheap price. We have enough places like those.
Update: Trauma was added to the Humble Frozen Synapse Bundle. That’s more like it guys. There’s definitely no problem with this bundle if it’s built up some more.
