Hitsugi No Chaika
Hitsugi No Chaika is about a girl named Chaika who is a wizard and carries a coffin with a magic gun inside. Chaika is trying to collect her dead father’s body parts to bury him. Unfortunately somehow his body parts are valuable as a source of magic. This means that people will fight her to keep the parts away from her.
Hitsugi No Chaika is a show that needs a lot of back story right off the bat. Unfortunately it is slowly letting the audience know what is going on. There are so many questions left even after the second episode like how body parts are able to put off so much energy. Also if the body is something that should not have gone into the wrong hands then why did they let people have the parts rather than destroying the body?
The magic in this world is confusing as well. Chaika has a gun that she requires chanting to use. That seems really useless when she has to set it up and chant for it. Without someone else coming along she would never be able to do anything.
The way the young girl talks gets really annoying as time goes on. Writers relying on quirks in the speech of the characters to make them special should cut it out.
Overall I do not know who this show’s audience would be. They have a loli girl, but they don’t make a big deal about it. I guess people who like action would enjoy it, but it does not have a good story to go with it.
Status: Not Watching. Needs a better story.
Inugami-san to Nekoyama-san
Inugami-san to Nekoyama-san is about two girls that have animal names in their family names. They both resemble the animal named in their family name and are attracted to each other.
Inugami-san to Nekoyama-san is just a slightly different approach to lesbian girls doing cute things together. Now they act like animals while they do it.
The best part of this show is that it is short. If it were any longer it would get old very quickly.
Status: Can’t Look Away From Wreck. Have to see what they are going to do for a whole season with this weird premise.
