A new studio has come out known as Hinterland Games. Today we want to go over who has joined the team and how this bodes for their future games.

So what about the team itself? Well you can find out how they are going to do from their previous games. Let us take a look.
- Alan Lawrance is the Technical Director who comes from Volition. He worked heavily on Saints Row and Red Faction, both games which were heavily overrated. The first Red Faction was quite good though.
- Hokyo Lim is the Art Director who worked on League of Legends, The Unfinished Swan and Sly Cooper. Each of these games had some very good art, especially the last two. So this bodes well for the graphics of their games.
- Marianne Krawczyk is the writer who wrote pieces for God of War, L.A. Noire and the 2013 Star Trek among others. None of these projects were successful due to their writing. It was either graphics, gameplay or advertising that sold them. That being said God of War 1 did have a decent ending despite going downhill.
- David Chan is handling the sound for the studio. His audio work is nothing short of excellent with games such as the older, better Knights of the Old Republic games. David is probably the strongest member of the team.
- They also have Cris Velasco and Sascha Dikiciyan who made music for Mass Effect, Borderlands and Quake. All of these had some excellent songs.
So far it looks like Hinterland Games has a fairly strong team. As long as their writing does not drag them down they should produce some excellent games. Of course this is my personal review and you’re free to disagree fully with it.

Be sure to go by their main site to read their side of the studio. The Long Dark is their flagship project which has some excellent art and might be very interesting.
