Ginga Kikoutai Majestic Prince episode 24 is the end of the show where they finish their battle with the Wulgaru by finally blowing up the gate.
The ending to Ginga Kikoutai Majestic Prince seemed pretty convenient. Team Rabbits did not even need to pay attention to the fighting going on around them much. They had plenty of time to help Izuru, which did not make a lot of sense since the enemy knew what was going on with the Star Rose. They should have been throwing everything at it to destroy it before it hit the gate. Yes Daneel and Teoria were there to help, but the two of them should not have been able to hold off all the fire directed at the Star Rose. While the episodes leading up to this one felt pretty hopeless for the humans this episode had most everything fall neatly into place.

Series Review
Ginga Kikoutai Majestic Prince was pretty good for most of the series. At the end it felt like it lost its way after Team Doberman mostly died off. While Ginga Kikoutai Majestic Prince did explore what the pilots would have to go through it was mostly still lighthearted due to things like Team Doberman’s antics. The ending could have used more of that. The turn for the darker did not do the series any favors. Stick with what works instead of changing the series. Doberman dying off would have made more sense earlier in the series to push Team Rabbits to grow.
Other than the problems with changing the mood at the end of the series Ginga Kikoutai Majestic Prince filled a nice niche of showing how things would be for child pilots in a world similar to our own. Seeing how the pilots reacted to having tons of the public against them and making comments about them was different than most mech shows.
Not The End
Ginga Kikoutai Majestic Prince will probably get a sequel in the future the IP holder has mentioned that it could be in the cards. There has been a game announced, so there is more to come even if it is in another form. I hope no matter what they do with this show they go back to what made the show good to begin with.
