Ginga Kikoutai Majestic Prince episode 22 is about the operation to destroy the gate that the Wulgaru came through. After getting their instructions “Team Rabbits” goes out to do the mission. The Wulgaru that killed Patrick comes to intercept the group and Asagi is supposed to be the bait. Tamaki does not agree to that and tries to attack the Wulgaru since that one killed Patrick. The Wulgaru stays out of range, but the attacks break up the formation. This helps Asagi to reach the gate. Right before Asagi reaches the gate the Wulgaru comes back to stop him. Team Rabbits as a group manage to kill her and Asagi reaches the gate. The straggle laser is not effective due to new technology.
Tamaki finds the will to fight due to Patrick’s death in Ginga Kikoutai Majestic Prince episode 22. Up to this point Tamaki has mostly been support for the group by breaking up formations, helping to tow others, and perform various useful operations. Now Tamaki actually wants to fight to get revenge for Patrick. Hopefully this will help her to grow into a better pilot and not just be a one time thing because of her heartbreak. It would be nice for her character to grow.
I had already predicted that this gate operation would encounter problems, so I was not surprised when they came up to the end and were not able to shoot the gate. The gate can not be hit by energy weapons which means all the most powerful weapons are useless. Also Team Rabbits is surrounded by enemies, so chances are that they will let Izuru in to fight against the Wulgaru. Chances are that they will not end the season without Izuru fighting Prince Jiart. Hopefully this gate operation will still somehow end up successful. I do not want to see anymore deaths.
