Ghost of a Tale is a small indie game trying to get funding. It stands out for having an amazing art style and that it is being done by a one-man team. You may find it as intriguing as we do.
Ghost of a Tale and the One-man Team
Lionel Gallat started his career working on Dreamworks films. These included:
- The Prince of Egypt
- The Road to Eldorado
- Spirit
- Sinbad
- SharkTale
Gallat has also worked on other projects such as Despicable Me. That is quite an impressive resume. That probably accounts for the high quality of the art in this game.
The Story of Ghost of a Tale
You play as a small mouse stuck in a mysterious and medieval world. Along the way you fight the ghosts of the past along with undead. Your main goal is to explore and find a mysterious treasure in a place known as the “Tower of Periclave.”
The Gameplay of Ghost of a Tale
The game itself appears to play like any other third person action game. The camera is behind you and you fight a wide variety of different monsters. You will collect items and solve puzzles along the way. So far it looks pretty standard to us. We will have to see how it improves as the game develops.
The Art of Ghost of a Tale
Where the game shines so far is in the animation. The landscapes are beautiful even at this early stage. The movements of the enemies and characters are perfectly articulated. Everything looks like it is out of a high-budget CGI movie. That is enough to make many of us take notice. We want to see just how impressive this project ends up becoming.
Supporting Ghost of a Tale
Right now you can still support them on their Indiegogo page. There are a variety of bonuses from in-game promotions to artwork. Those who are big spenders can even get a significant amount of say in the final game. So take a look and donate if it impresses you as well.
