GameSessions Site Spotlight

The age of try before you buy is becoming more popular as time goes on. GameSessions is bringing streaming technology into your home to let you try out full games for a time. This new system is one of many competitors in the business that you may want to consider.

GameSessions Streaming

The platform is set up very simply. You get the full game for a short time then decide whether to buy it after that. It’s all sent to you through high speed downloads as well. The initial setup is going to be DIRT that players can try.

The benefits of this over a normal demo is that it’s a lot faster and lets you try the full game. They are banking on the idea that gamers want both of these.

The GameSessions Steam Connection

Another big part of this is that most of the games on Steam will eventually be on here. When you buy a copy on the site you will also get a Steam copy as well. You can then own the full game on there as well. This is probably what they are banking on to keep them ahead in the industry.

Trying GameSessions Yourself

Right now you can visit their site to sign up for a public beta. You can try the game out in the full version for a  time. They also have a rental system that lets you play it for a bit then puts it away.

So who runs GameSessions? They are run by  Tangentix, a company which delivers compression services to a wide variety of companies. This appears to be their method for making a little extra money on the side. We will probably see a lot more traditional companies moving into gaming since it is so lucrative.
