We have yet another way for developers to get funding here. The Gameforge Sponsorship can bring you around 10,000 Euros. This is equivalent to around 13,263 United States dollars.

This award is actually unique in how it is presented. This particular contest focuses only on the quality of the game art. There will be three awards total. The winners will get quite a bit of money to produce their game. You can also garner valuable connections within the industry if you win this award.
The App Art Award
The App Art Award is being hosted by an art society. The art must be presented in the form of an app. The judging will be based on 3 things:
- Aesthetic aspects of the game.
- Creative integrations of the art with the other aspects of the game.
- The application of technological solutions, which is a bit unclear to us.
There are also other parts of the judging:
- Interactivity
- Creativity
- Design
- Look and Feel
- Degree of Innovation
- Stability
- Usability
- Overall Artistic Impression (idea, concepts, realization)
There will be 3 prizes, and you can apply at the link above. The prizes will fall within 3 categories:
- The Prize for Artistic Innovation
- The Special Prize for Game Art
- The Special Prize for Cloud Art
Each one of these can net you 10,000 Euros as we mentioned earlier. That’s right, you have 3 shots to gain the funding for your game in short order. Even better, applications are accepted from all over the world. You don’t really have anything to lose here. The deadline for submissions is May 11, 2012. Please get in before then or your entries will not be accepted.
