No Game No Life
No Game No Life is about a brother and sister that are really good at games. The two of them have their own specialties and make up for what the other lacks. They are both Neets and consider the real world to be a “crappy” game. When a god takes them to a new world that has everything decided by games and follows 10 commandments they are not too upset. In fact having a guideline for life makes them feel more secure. They quickly beat people to secure a good life for themselves in this new world including defeating a princess. Unfortunately the equivalent of humans in this world is the lowest life form because they can not even detect magic use which makes it easy for other races to cheat them. Despite that the brother and sister team thinks they can help save Imanity.
The artwork for No Game No Life can be bit off putting with the extreme brightness throughout the show. It does make the show feel more like a fantasy since it looks like how some people might imagine another world based on games since the brightest parts come after they change worlds.
The relationship between the brother and sister can be a bit too close at times. The characters act like it is cool because they are brother and sister, but they can not even be apart without freaking out. To the point where the sister will not take a bath because her brother can not look at her.
The story is actually pretty amusing so far. The brother and sister hate the real world, so they are not trying to get away from this world which is different than most shows of this type. They are already using the rules of the world to their advantage to secure the future and appear to want to help their race get better off. Usually in a show like this they would have been brought in for that purpose, but this time they decided on their own.
Overall this show is not terribly unique, but has its good points. There are things that will drive people away in droves like the relationship between the siblings.

Mahou Shoujo Taisen
Mahou Shoujo Taisen shows shorts about magical girls from all over Japan. The first is from the Miyagi Prefecture. She has trouble with the law during her battle because her mascot is invisible and the police officer thought she was talking to him. Then the next episode is all about people talking about her getting taken to jail.
The biggest problem with Mahou Shoujo Taisen is that the episodes are much too short. If it were 15 minutes long instead of 4 and just did one magical girl an episode it would make more sense. The second episode just had the rumors and her transforming. Ending on a transformation sequence is a bad ending. They could have at least had a short joke afterwards.
The idea behind Mahou Shoujo Taisen is not a horrible one. I like the idea of seeing bunch of different magical girls and being able to compare them. Seeing how magical girls in different areas have different problems could be interesting. Shows usually only focus on magical girls in a certain area.
The artwork for the background characters is nice. It is interesting how they are usually shadowy figures even the police officer. It makes a bigger impact when they suddenly show his face in detail.
