No Game No Life episode 8 is about Blank challenging the warbeasts and exposing to the group that they do not have the ability to read minds.
The ambassador for the warbeasts in No Game No Life is a joke. Unless Izuna is ambassador just because of her prowess at playing games there appears to have no reason to be in that position. When Blank is talking about their challenge she can not even follow what is going on. Also her grandfather is still around to help out, so why is he playing sidekick to her? The obvious answer would be that she is around for more loli fanservice, but she could be the granddaughter of the ambassador and still be fanservice. The whole idea of a small child being in a position of power that should not be inherited is not believable.
The way No Game No Life describes the land of warbeasts which is obviously supposed to be like Japan in this anime is hilarious. The warbeasts are so technologically advanced at none of the other countries know what things in their country are. The warbeasts can cheat during games and no one else can even figure out what they are doing. The whole idea behind it is so foreign that other races will believe that they can read minds since they are so good at the game. Apparently the writer thinks quite a bit of how technologically advanced Japan is. Also there is a long segment about how the warbeasts do it all without any resources since they are an island nation with limited resources. Also like Japan the warbeasts are not able to get mainland from the other countries. Makes me wonder if the other countries will be themes after modern or if the Japanese country is the only one.
The end of episode 8 of No Game No Life is handled pretty well. Not only is Sora gone from the show itself he is also missing from the ending credits to the show. That was a nice touch. Hopefully the disappearance will be explained further soon. Obviously it has to do with the game, but how is this like a computer game?
