Yuyushiki
Yuyushiki is about 3 girls just starting high school that are interested in a club that has no members called the Data Processing Club.
Yuyushiki is the reason I groan if a preview of an anime has an all girl cast and the only thing said is that they are in a club. All those shows generally turn out to be awkward slice of life shows with yuri and slow pacing. When will they learn that only the top 1 percent of 4-koma manga should be turned into shows. Even then there would be some bombs, but not as many as there are now.
Overall Yuyushiki is a standard 4-koma offering with an all girl cast. It adds nothing new to the formula and even the art is poor. It has jokes like calling the teacher mom and hitting someone to see if one of the character is a sadist. I would not recommend this to anyone.

Mushibugyou
Mushibugyou is about exterminating insects on a massive scale. It is set in the samurai era in Old Edo. They are taking down bugs with swords and bombs.
Mushibugyou is a pretty cliche fighting show as far as the story goes. Jinbee comes to the big city of Edo as an ignorant county bumpkin that does not know about the bug problem. Everyone underestimates his power because he is young and ignorant. By the end of the first episode everyone knows that he is actually really strong. I have seen this so many times.
Mushibugyou besides having a lot of fighting to get rid of the bugs also has quite a bit of fanservice. The bugs all eat the men right away, but if it is a female they take it back to their lair and suggestively pose her spread eagle with an open top before eating them. Also there are tons of shots of Hibachi changing, in the bath or in various states of being barely covered.
Overall Mushibugyou is pretty weird. Hopefully there will be some kind of explanation for why there are such large bugs. Can’t really get attached to Old Edo that randomly has giant bugs.
