Impressions: Poyopoyo Kansatsu Nikki and Recorder to Randoseru

Poyopoyo Kansatsu Nikki and Recorder to Randoseru are two new short anime from Winter 2012. They are each just around 3 minutes per episode so I am putting the reviews together.

Poyopoyo Kansatsu Nikki Proposal

What would happen if you found a round, friendly cat? Poyopoyo Kansatus Nikki explores that idea in a cute, funny way. The whole first episode is about what they do with this round cat they found. I expect the rest of the episodes will be cute things the cat does or his adventures.

Like with Nyanpire before, I love this series from the beginning because it is so cute. Plus it has a cat, which is totally a selling point for me. This series is just about a cute cat, but since it is only a few minutes long it can most likely pull off a pretty good series as long as they don’t just keep reusing the same jokes.

Recorder to Randoseru

When I first saw this series on the list of stuff coming out, I was originally dreading this because of the picture that looks like a little girl with a grown man. I generally avoid shows with lolis in love with older men or the other way around. Luckily, this is not one of those shows.

Recorder to Randoseru Brother and Sister

The premise for this show is that the younger brother is very tall for his age and the older sister is very short which leads to misunderstandings. That is not very realistic, but I have liked series with even weirder things going on.  I can’t help feeling bad for the poor little boy already.

This looks like it will be cute and funny. It would probably get old quickly in a longer time slot, but with only 3 minutes for each episode it could be quite good.

Status: Watching. I would recommend giving this one a shot.
