First Impressions Winter 2012: Kill Me Baby

Kill Me Baby a show about a normal school girl and her assassin friend.

Kill Me Baby is about Yasuna and her friend who is an assassin named Sonya. In the first episode you get to see Sonya overreact to various circumstances and find out about her irrational fears. Also see two girls try  to get a dog out of the classroom. A new character is introduced, which breaks up the pattern of freaking out.

Kill Me Baby appears to be a new show where high school girls do cute, funny things with no real plot. Some of these can be pretty good, but most of them miss the mark. So far this one is missing the mark, but maybe it will pick up some later. Hopefully they expand outside of Sonya hurting Yasuna and Sonya freaking out about every little thing.

After I heard the opening for this show I thought the name for the show was quite appropriate, since I wanted someone to kill me. I don’t know why they felt the need to put the name of the show in every five blinking seconds. After the first couple of times it was too much. Luckily the ending is much better,  and doesn’t contain kill me baby at all.

The saving grace of this show is the character that doesn’t show up until the second half of the episode. Agiri is the best character. She is a ninja and has surprised me some, which can be amusing. She takes the ninja that can’t really do things in a slightly different direction.

Overall the opening is annoying, the characters are mostly dull except Agiri, this concept is done to death, and I can see this show getting old very quickly.

Status: Not Watching. Would not recommend unless you like high school girls doing cute things.
