High School DxD is a show about a boy that becomes the servant to a devil. This show is not for younger audiences or people who don’t want to see lots of skin.
In the first episode of High School DxD, there is much more fanservice than plot or information about the characters. The main character gets his first girlfriend and goes on his first date only to find out that the girl is not what she seems. After the girl changes and kills him he gets help from a senpai. After that everything seems to go back to normal, until something strange happens again.
The characters in High School DxD are not very likeable so far. The main character Issei is a boy obsessed with women’s bodies because he has never been around a girl in the nude. He is a peeper and joined his high school because of the ratio of girls to guys there. His friends are all the same. The girls are mostly just there for the fanservice and have shown no characteristics besides physical ones.
Not all that much to say about the plot at this point. That would be mostly because there isn’t much plot going on in the first episode. I spent most of the time after Issei’s girlfriend transformed wondering what was going on and at the very end I got a hint. Leaving the viewer confused the whole first episode is not my favorite thing, but it looks like what is going one will come to light in the next episode.
Overall this show has very little going for it besides showing girls’ chests. I have no problem with that, except that I like some show with my bare chests please. Hopefully the second episode will give this show some depth.
Status: Not Watching. Might check it out again, but would not recommend.
i watched 6 episodes and it needs more plot~ and a little bit less fan service… i love my fan service but its like BOOBS ALL THE TIME!~. it needs more story… i can see this show having at least a 2nd season if it had a more indepth story.
