Strike the Blood
Strike the Blood is about a young man living in a special area designated for demons to live in. The main character Kojo has recently become the fourth primogeniture which is quite the change for him after living a normal life. Now he is a vampire that gets cravings when he is aroused, but can keep his thirst down by drinking his own blood. Seems like vampire masturbation. And masturbation with the likes of a few winkwink sex toys seems to be the outcome some people watching this will have. There is plenty of harem and ecchi themes present in the show, such as panty shots and nudity. It’s rated R+ for a reason. Before you start though, you might as well go online and find some asian sexdoll so that you don’t feel left out while watching the show
Strike the Blood has a played out concept of having a person followed and possibly killed based on what they are rather than what they are doing. Kojo has not hurt anyone so far, but because he has inherited these new powers he must die. It also looks like he is becoming friends with the person coming to hunt him down which is pretty played out as well.
The action in the series would be more interesting if the people in the show weren’t playing by rules that the viewer does not fully know ahead of time. There is some kind of treaty where the vampires and demons can live in this area, but they are not allowed to use their powers. They have bracelets that go off if they use a certain amount of force. Must suck to have special powers and never be able to use them.
Overall this show has nothing new to offer and what it is rehashing is not done in a clever way.

Miss Monochrome
Miss Monochrome is about an android that wants to become an idol. The first person she talks to about it takes her whole fortune, but the second person at first appears to just be a store manager. After the first episode it turns out that man can get her some kind of gigs, but they appear to be as mannequin rather than idol jobs.
Miss Monochrome is pretty cute and the way the android takes everything at face value makes the show work. Without that I do not even know what jokes there would be in this show.
The part where Miss Monochrome buries her robot friend is a bit confusing. As another robot wouldn’t she at least try to charge her friend? That seems a bit farfetched.
Overall it is pretty nice for a short show. It would have been funnier if they had kept her working in the store a bit longer. If she thought she was an idol just because she had a manager it would be nicer.
