Shining Hearts: Shiwase no Pan is a show about the Bread of Happiness and the people who make and sell it.
Shining Hearts: Shiwase no Pan starts with the three girls sneaking into Rick’s boathouse in the middle of the night for the same thing all girls want. They wake him up to make bread all night while they sleep. He wakes them up when the bread is finished and they sell it. Then they borrow a cart to go to the farm. They go off course to gather ingredients and meet up with elves.
My first thoughts when Shining Hearts: Shiawase no Pan starts are not good. There is a depressing monologue that I don’t understand since nothing is happening. This person could use some of the happiness bread that this show claims to have. There are no signs of anything all that bad the whole rest of the episode, so it is really odd.
Character designs for this show are really lacking. The girls look very similar. Especially the girl with two braids and the girl with one braid.
The character designs weren’t the only way the characters were similar though. None of them showed any personality or anything to differentiate them from each other. Having watched the whole first episode I have no idea what any of the girl’s names are or any reason why I would need to know them since they are interchangeable.
The story for this show is very lacking. We went through a normal boring day with nothing special and the big thing they mention about the next episode is a storm. Oh no a storm! I know the source material is a game, but this is ridiculous.
Overall this show has nothing going on no story, no original characters, and no reason to exist besides trying to milk a game for more money. Don’t waste your time.
