Oda Nobuna no Yobou otherwise known as The Ambition of Oba Nobuna is another show about the warring states era with moe girl characters.
In Oda Nobuna no Yobou, Sagara saves Nobuna and gains a spot with her retainers. Sagara is from modern Japan and uses his knowledge from the future to benefit Nobuna. Sagara feels that he is taking the place of Hideyoshi, who he saw die at the beginning of the show. In an important negotiation for Nobuna, Segara tells the other leader about what would happen in the future to get him to go ahead and cooperate with Nobuna.
Oda Nobuna no Yobou starts with no explanation of what is going on. There is just Sagara in a field watching Hideyoshi dying. Sagara knows what is going to happen to the characters and is wearing modern clothes, so he obviously is not from the same time as the rest. Which he proves time and time again by mentioning it to people like it is no big deal. So far though there is no reasonable explanation for why he is there. Sagara appears to not even know what is going on. I do not like that. At least if the show is about someone from the future mucking up the past, they should say how they got there. Leaving it open like this I have to wonder if he got zapped into a game, he is dreaming, or something even stranger. No matter what the cause it probably is not a good reason since they are hiding it.
Sagara is really accepting of being in a different time period in Oda Nobuna no Yobou . Sagara in the beginning of the show just instantly connects the name he hears with Hideyoshi. He also does not seem to be all that surprised by the other figures that he meets except that they are girls. The thing that most upsets him is that he is following a girl instead of the real Nobunaga. None of that is normal and it feels so forced. I know he is a warring states era otaku, but he should be doubting all this at some point. He keeps bringing up dreams, but he should know that in dreams you would get hurt which he obviously does. Also I cannot believe that people are accepting that he is from the future so easily. No one is holding a knife up to his neck to find out his sources or checking for spies. Once he ‘proves’ himself they just go along with it. Things are going way too easily for Sagara so far and it makes everything feel wrong.
It is kind of weird how some people remain men and others are girls. I guess that goes along with how families accept children of either gender to inherit. I wish they would have just gone all out and made them all girls though. If you are going to make a moe version then just do it and do not half ass it like this.
Overall the whole story for this show is so flimsy. I could poke at the holes in it all day, but I do not want to.

All these girls just wrapped in sheets. Did Sagara bang them all already? Also the one in the bottom left looks traumatized.
