First Impressions: Mysterious Girlfriend X

Mysterious Girlfriend X is the story of one crazy couple. This show is not for children.

Mysterious Girlfriend X starts with Akira talking about when boys first learn about sex. Then it is a normal school day with Akira getting ready for school. A new student is introduced to the class and she is not a normal girl. One day Akira comes back to the classroom right before the school closes to get his stuff and sees the new girl Mikoto sleeping at her desk. He wakes her up and sees she left some drool behind. Akira puts his finger in the drool and puts it in his mouth. Later Akira gets sick and Mikoto comes to visit him and gives him more of her drool. This makes him feel better which happens because he is in love with her.

Who would do this?

Mysterious Girlfriend X mmmmm drool 2

Mmmmmmm tasty

The whole idea of this show doesn’t make sense. Why would he put her drool in his mouth? If he did how would getting her drool again make him feel better? How could he just go along with her crazy idea? These two together I guess makes sense since they are the same brand of weird.

Mysterious Girlfriend X crosses the line somewhere along the way. I like my shows more romantic than creepy, but with this show while their were some pretty romantic moments it still came off creepy. I read some of the manga to see where this was going and it stays creepy too.

The art style for this show goes along with how the manga looks, but I think it could have been done better. This show looks like it could have been made a long time ago. Just because the manga looks a certain way doesn’t mean the show needs to look so old.

This would be kind of romantic if she hadn't made him do it.

Status: EWWWWWWWWWWWWW Not Watching. There must be an audience for this, but it is not me.
