First Impressions: Little Busters!

Little Busters! is about a group of friends trying to do something memorable together before their group is separated by life. While thinking about the future the group realizes that soon they will go their separate ways after being together since they were children. They look to their leader Kyousuke to find something for them to do together and he suggests baseball. Even with their core group though they do not have enough people, so they send Rin to try and recruit girls. Rin manages to just scare girls off which leads to Riki looking for players to join them.

Little Busters! Masato

The story for this show seems pretty overdone so far. The group wants to do something memorable before they seperate and that has been done many times. Usually it is not something as tame as baseball, but making a baseball team has been done a lot as well. Hopefully there is more to this story to be revealed in the future.

The animation for Little Busters! is pretty average. Especially compared to some of the really impressive animation that has been coming out this season. It does not take away from the show, but it does not add to it either.

Masato is my favorite character from Little Busters! so far and totally makes this episode. Especially compared to the  main character Riki who is pretty bland which is not unusual for a harem show. Masato has the best sight gags this episode which is plus for me. Also his lovable idiot personality play nicely against the rest of the cast.

Overall this show could go either way. Most likely since this show has a harem the emphasis will go away from the guys in the cast which will be a shame. Hopefully the girls that replace them will make up for it with more than just cuteness.

Status: Still Watching

Little Busters! Cat

I feel bad for the cat, but this is so cute.

Actually, the guys play a pretty huge role in this. And Riki being timid and weak is actually a plot point. It’s from Key, so you know that there will be more than this than what initially appears on the surface.
