Inu x Boku SS is about a girl moving into a new place when she meets someone unexpected who changes everything. This impression is based on the first two episodes.
Inu x Boku SS is about Ririchiyo. who has a problem which is she is so tsundere. In order to fix that problem Ririchiyo moved away from her family to be alone. Unfortunately when she moved away she wasn’t exactly left alone because right away a secret service agent was there to help her. Since Ririchiyo did not want an agent and wanted to be alone, she tries to get him to go away. However he refuses to unless she kills him. Eventually Ririchiyo realizes how much this means to him and accepts him. There is more going on with the story than that, but the other things are major spoilers for people who haven’t seen this show.
To begin with the character dynamic in Inu x Boku SS looks like it will get old very quickly. Ririchiyo is tsundere, but she doesn’t want to be. She knows ahead of time that what she is saying is going to be mean, so why does she continue saying it? This just confuses me to no end. Then we have Soushi who is her very willing punching bag. This mixes up the usual reaction to a tsundere character, since usually the other character doesn’t want to be around her a lot of the time. I still don’t think this relationship is going to stay fresh enough to last the whole series.
The story for this show so far seems pretty lacking. It would be hard to say this looking at the first episode since the show is mostly just introducing characters, but I watched two episodes and still see no signs of some overarching story driving this series. Is this whole show going to be about the characters just going through their ordinary life?
Overall with with the characters going through the same motions over and over plus the non existent story this show is not going so well.
Status: Watching. I want to see where this is going. I don’t really recommend this show though.
