So many anime shorts in Winter 2013, but hopefully we can help guide people to the best shorts this season. There are spoilers within this post.
Inferno Cop
In a land full of corruption only one cop with a burning skull still cares about the people while being a total badass. Inferno cop is here to save the people from tons of villains that look the same and transforming babies. All he needs is his trusty gun and handy immunity.
The animation for this show is flash and very poor. The drawings are not that good either. The voice acting is pretty lazy and I do not even think that the woman is played by a girl. If she is then I am surprised. None of that matters because this show is awesome. It shows off being awesome even with a budget that could probably only buy a candy bar a great thing can be made.
Inferno cop properly uses off the wall comedy and even the poor animation to fullest effect. Like the way his car drives into the other police car sideways. It was probably done that way to save money, but it is funnier that way than if they did it as a head on collision.
Overall this show is great and you should already be watching it instead of reading anymore of this article because the other show covered is not fit to wipe Inferno Cop’s shoes.

Yama no Susume
A loner high school girl meets up with her old friend and together they plan to climb mountains. The problem is that the loner no longer wants to climb mountains like she did as a child since she broke her bone and now is afraid of heights.
The artwork is very cutesy. The color palette is all pastels to strengthen the effect. It is so sweet looking it will rot your teeth.
Not a lot of story or humor in this one. It appears to just be Moe eye-candy for outdoorsy people. If you are into that it looks like there will be even more Moe girls in it in the future.
Status: Not Watching. I do not care if Moe Girl A ends up climbing a mountain with Moe Girl B, so this is obviously not for me.
