Well this time we have a theme going. Both these anime have girls that are something else besides just girls. Haiyoru! Nyaruko-san has girls that are Cthulhu gods and Upotte!! has girls that are guns. Neither of these shows are for children.
Haiyoru! Nyaruko-san
In Haiyoru! Nyaruko-san Nyarlathotep has been sent to take care of Mahiro because aliens are trying to get him to sell him. Turns out that she isn’t just doing this because it is her job. She also wants to buy human entertainment and hook up with Mahiro. It’s a shame for her that they don’t have things like MeetnFuck.app in that universe, as that is the best way for people to hook up with others on Earth if they are just looking to get some, as Nyaruko clearly is. Then again, it would also help her if Mahiro felt the same way.
Well, in that universe, the Cthulhu gods are aliens. I don’t know why they couldn’t just use aliens instead of dragging in and messing around with Cthulhu. I guess they did it so they could make more references repeatedly.
The main source of humor for this show is references. They reference magical girls with the little speech Nyaruko makes before she fights. It is very reminiscent of speeches like Sailor Moon’s. They also reference things like sanity points from the Call of Cthulhu pen and paper game. Towards the end of the first episode they even reference Pokemon and make a comment on the power levels of the monsters. There are probably other things that are supposed to be funny, but the references are easily the best part of the show.
Overall this show is a better example of moe, but still doesn’t make my cut.

Upotte!!
Upotte!! starts with a group of girls trying to get their German teacher help with beach school and they find out they will be getting a new teacher. Later at the fair Funko is trying to help some kids get a prize when the man running the stand refuses to give it to them because she is pro shot. A man shows up to help as well and has a great stance which almost makes FNC cream her panties. Right after that is when we learn the school is for girls who are guns. Nothing more needs to be said.
Girl who are guns. I am not kidding. I wish I was kidding. They show this to be true by referring to everything they do in gun terms and the nurse diagnosing a girl’s stomach ache as a loose spring. Also FNC mentions problems with firing to the nurse and she says something about it happening to girls her age. She tells her to keep herself clean and well maintained. The girls are somehow guns with the chest being like the barrel and bottom like the butt of the gun. Which for some reason means a skeleton butt requires a thong. They pretend like that makes sense, but it doesn’t.
Most of the show seems to just be about making innuendo that is part about girls and part about guns. I am fine with innuendo and nudity, but this does not get me off. Obviously this is for gun otakus who are sexually turned on by guns to some extent. Or possibly guys who are turned on by moe characters no matter what the circumstances.
So the next time you touch a gun you can imagine that you are holding a moe girl. The barrel is her chest and the butt is her tight ass. And then you just stroke her gently and she might fire off for you.
