First Impressions: Hagure Yuusha no Estetica - Girls Come in Bags

Hagure Yuusha no Estetica explores what happens after a human sent to another dimension comes back to his own world.

Akatsuki was the hero of another dimension who happened to bring back a demon princess named Myuu. Akatsuki has had Myuu left to him to take care of. This was at the request of the demon king he defeated.  Akatsuki decided to take care of her by bringing her back with him and taking her to the special school for people who have traveled to other dimensions.

A lot of shows have characters going to other worlds and gaining powers that stay with them when they come back to their own world. Sometimes no one seems to know about it or it is an isolated case. Other times it takes over the whole area. Hagure Yuusha no Estetica is set in a time where lots of young people are taken to different worlds and come back with different powers. They have tried standardize how they react and train these students to reap the maximum benefit out of them. So we have an approach where the government is milking people’s new superpowers. They have tests performed on their bodies and someone who tests how strong their powers are. This concept could go in many interesting ways if they want to go into how the people coming back felt and the populous at large. Also what exactly are they doing with these kids after they finish the school? Are they allowed to go out on their own or are they required to work for the government or some special program? Unfortunately, instead of taking a concept that could be interesting it looks like it is all an excuse to bring a big breasted demon girl into the real world. I do not see them doing a lot with the setting they have created.

I am surprised that they are really considered unnaturally big considering this is an anime.

In the beginning of Hagure Yuusha no Estetica Akatsuki is fighting a ton of maids. He drops his bag and swings it around. He is traveling for a while and doing all sorts of things with it on his back. The fight and discussion with the upset princess probably are not very quiet either. So how is Myuu sleeping in the bag and not bruised or harmed in any way? Also she does not seem to know why she is naked. Wouldn’t she have been awake when the clothes were taken off?

Overall nothing about that show is all that amazing. The setting has promise, but it looks like this is going the perverted harem route instead. What a waste.

Status: Probably watching one more episode to see how this goes.
