Girls and Panzer
Girls and Panzer is about high school girls operating tanks as a martial art. Miho is scouted to join because she has a family with a lot of experience with tanks that the other girls want to use. Miho is not interested, but gets dragged in anyway.
The best part of Girls and Panzer is when the recruiting video is playing trying to get girls interested in tanks. Here are some highlights:
Nothing more polite than firing a shot at someone or more feminine than a tank. As many people have noted the gun on the tank is phallic and there is nothing to indicate a female at all. Also it mentions shortly after that the girls will have a deadly passion. That seems pretty weird. I hope some of this is due to the translation.
Yes being a woman is all about using tanks. I like how soon after this statement it talks about being a better wife, mother, and better at your career. If using a tank is what it means to be a woman then why do you need to be better at all that other stuff as well.
I find it funny that they talk about a tank making women healthy. Since when has a tank improved health? They shoot at things and destroy them which can lead to people dying. I guess it is healthier to be inside the tank shooting than to be outside getting shot at. Before this comes up they mention how using a tank will make men attracted to you. Seems more like they would fear you and date you so they do not get shot.
The whole tank premise seems like a joke. I was hoping that Girls and Panzer would be funnier, but the only amusing part was the recruitment video. Most of it was lackluster slice of life and the tanks are a crutch to give this show an audience of people who love tanks.
Overall Girls and Panzer is a boring school life show that adds the strange elective of using tanks competitively.

Onii-chan Dakedo Ai Sae Areba Kankeinai yo ne!
Onii-chan Dakedo Ai Sae Areba Kankeinai yo ne! is about a brother and sister reunited and living together after six years apart. The sister has developed a complex about her brother while they were separated and wants to be in a forbidden relationship with her brother.
Onii-chan Dakedo Ai Sae Areba Kankeinai yo ne! does not just have the sister going after Akito, he has a whole harem living with him. The emotionless girl, the best friend, and the busty athletic girl are all there to do stereotypical things to get in Akito’s pants. While having Arashi wear an eyepatch is unusual for a harem that is the only strange thing about this story.
After watching the first episode of Onii-chan Dakedo Ai Sae Areba Kankeinai yo ne! I was pretty sure that Akiko did not stand a chance, but in the second episode there is a surprise. Akito is secretly supporting them with incestual stories about the two of them. I do not know if that is an indication of his feelings for her or an easy way to make cash. Most likely it does not mean anything since this is too early for the writers to reveal who Akito likes. While it would be refreshing to have the couple established early this show appears too cliche to break the mold.
Overall this show just what it appear to be incest and harems. Nothing to see here.
