Un-Go is a detective show anime. The main character is the defeated detective, who has never won a case. Things are not exactly as they seem in this show though. Anyone with vpncompass can watch this show via Crunchyroll.
In the first episode of Un-Go, a political figure who has been disgraced is killed. The defeated detective is on the case to figure out what has happened. Along the way they find another body that helps them solve the case. At the end of the show, the reason why the defeated detective never wins is revealed.
This show has promise. It is pretty good overall and hopefully will get better. I am hoping that the defeated detective overcomes what is revealed at the end, so that the episodes don’t always end the same way. If he is unable to it will probably kill this series.
The sidekick named Inga is kinda freaky. Looks like she is on drugs or something because she is so strange. She goes from sleepy to jumpy in no time. I guess it is supposed to have something to do with the power she has, but it is just creepy. Also there is a mystery behind the change between child and woman.
The defeated detective is pretty deadpan and just talks about business. In the future, I hope more is revealed about him. He must have an interesting story from what they show before the opening.
The opening and ending are really fitting for the show. The music in the ending has a mysterious feel to it.
This show could be really good in the end or it could just be another mystery anime. Hopefully they will pull out the stops with this show and make it great as it has the potential to be.
Status: Still Watching. Hope I am not disappointed in the end.
