Mashiro-Iro Symphony is about a boy named Shingo who is part of a test group going to an all girl’s school before the two schools merge. The girls at the school aren’t very happy about boys coming to their school though.
The first episode starts out talking about what color boys, girls, and love are. They only decide on the color for love which is pure white. I am so glad I know now. It was keeping me up at night.
I don’t know if it was supposed to be deep or something, but this all happens because the title means the color of love. Wait, now that it is decided shouldn’t the show be over? Well at this point they introduce the snow motif which shows up a lot to represent the color of love.
The mascot is sitting all over love. Oh wait that is snow.
After the color of love is decided, the show begins with the main character having to find his sister who is lost. His sister follows the mascot for the show and is found by a helpful girl. When Shingo and his sister go to their new school the next day they are surprised by what they find.
This looks like your typical hate turns into love situation. This time harem style since Shingo is surrounded by girls. The girls will probably hate him on principal at first and he will be so wonderful that they will change their minds. Hopefully Mashiro-Iro Symphony will put a twist on it somehow.
One interesting thing about this show is that right from the beginning they show that the sister likes her brother too much. After her brother brings her home, she tries to get into the bath with him. This might disturb some people, so if you are really adverse to that kind of relationship you might want to skip this show.
Overall the show is average. The main character is the normal looking good guy. So no plus or minus on that one. The story is a small twist on a harem story. Rather than living with a bunch of girls, Shingo goes to school with them. The visuals and music are pretty good. Whether you would want to watch this show or not should just depend on if you like romance or harem shows.
Status: Still watching for now since I like romance.
