Kimi To Boku is about a group of boys that have been friends for a long time. It is slice of life with flashbacks to earlier years together.
Well now I would like to stop this Kimi To Boku review to show you this:
Holy trap alert people! I thought he was a girl at first. It appears he gets a haircut later from what I saw in the opening, but he still looks girly.
Well from the beginning I did not have high expectations for this show and I was not disappointed. The first part of the show just had them arguing over little things, which if I wanted to listen to people arguing over nothing I do have a Ventrilo server with people fighting over League of Legends on it. Then they all went on a hunt to find a club for Yuki who really didn’t seem to want a club in the first place. There are mishaps along the way that are probably supposed to be funny, but I was not really amused.
The art style was pretty subdued like the rest of the show. Most of the colors are pastels or have white highlights. I guess they didn’t want the artwork to be brighter than the characters.
Well now about the characters, there are four boys in this show. Two of the boys are twins who are not lively at all. One is the trap who is pretty clueless and naive. Then there is the argumentative glasses guy who is probably the leader. He leads them along by the nose in the first episode at least. Most slice of life shows live or die based on the personalities of the characters so I declare this one dead because none of the personalities really draw the viewer in to watch more.
The best part about this show was that it seemed like the artists were bored as well. At random intervals they would show cats, girls, or girls petting cats while you could still hear the boys. These things would not even be happening where the main cast was. It was like they changed the channel.
This sure is boring I will just draw a cat here.
Oh wait I should be drawing those boys.
Wouldn't it be awesome if a cat slapped another cat? Oh yeah back to the real show.
It looked like that was what the artist was thinking.
Status: Not watching. This show is for hardcore slice of life fans or hardcore cat lovers.

idk i’m sure you didn’t finish the anime so you should be judging the first episode instead of the whole anime and the character already.
The title of the article says first impressions. That should tell you that I am only judging the first episode or first few episodes. If you did not understand that then it is not my problem.
