In Binbou-gami ga! the balance of fortune and misfortune is out of whack and it is mostly due to one girl.
In the beginning of Binbou-gami ga! we see Momiji getting assigned to Ichiko because she has too much fortune. Momiji is not all that interested until she sees that Ichiko is a big chested girl which ticks her off. Then there is a large amount of time where Momiji is chasing Ichiko around. When Momiji gets Ichiko along finally, she lets Ichiko know what is going on and her plans. Ichiko does not want to have her fortune taken away though and fights against Momiji to keep it. Then the most important person in Ichiko’s life, her butler Suwano, is sick in the hospital. Ichiko lets Momiji drain her after Momiji explains that she is the cause of Suwano’s sudden turn. Ichiko pulls a fast one though and takes the fortune to the hospital to help Suwano. In the end things end up the same way they were in the beginning of the episode.
Between both characters in Binbou-gami ga! I like Momiji better than Ichiko. Ichiko is probably supposed to be someone I sympathize with because she is lonely, but mostly she comes across as a stuck up rich girl to me. The girl has tons of good fortune and mostly will not think of the others around her. She also makes fun of them for having worse luck. Momiji on the other hand is just doing her job. Also when something bad happened to Suwano she helped Ichiko out. Without Momiji, Suwano probably would have died before Ichiko left school. So at heart despite her act and job Momiji is a nice girl underneath and I like that.
Binbou-gami ga! is quite a bit funnier than I expected. I really enjoyed the references to other anime like DBZ and Medaka Box. Also the way the two girls interacted with each other was pretty funny at times.

I like how they showed Goku for fortune and Vegeta for misfortune. Goku did have a lot more luck than Vegeta although Vegeta did bring some of it on himself. Also imagine I put a joke here about the what the scouter says about Goku’s fortune.
Overall this show is pretty funny, has good characters, and an interesting premise. Wondering where they are going to go from here. I am definitely sticking with this one.
