Right now there isn’t much going on in the world of gaming. But we saw that Fields of War was up on Indie Game Stand. Also we appreciate their dedication with putting out the info when no one else is. We like that. It deals with 100 vs 100 mech combat.
The Rough Architecture of Fields of War
At the moment the game is not quite finished. They have however done a great many different updates for it and will continue to do so in the future.
The base framework is nice. Two factions with five classes of mech, in a living world with day and night combat. We hope that they add even more factions and mechs later on for a bigger game.
That being said the game could use some additional polish on the wireframes and such. We think it could be amazing later on but is just not there quite yet. That being said it’s very fun to play so far and we hope it gets even better.
Fields of War and the Sale
Right now you can pay what you want and have an opportunity to get a Steam key if they get on there later. Overall it seems fine. That is of course if their Steam Greenlight passes.
Hopefully it does so everyone can get their additional keys as well. It also runs on Mac, PC and Linux. Something very interesting is that no matter which system you want to play it on you will use the same account.
Thermal Erosion Brings you Fields of War
Thermal Erosion is an extremely small company and this is their first game. We hope that things take off for them later on. Getting on Indie Game Stand is probably a big boost for them.
