Expeditions Conquistador on Kickstarter - Nerd Age

As usual, we want to bring you interesting Kickstarter projects. Today we go over Expeditions Conquistador. The game itself is  “A story-driven tactical roleplaying game with a touch of strategic resource management and a pinch of choose-your-own-adventure. ”

Expeditions Conquistador and Storyline

This particular game has branching paths as you would see in any game. The extent of these paths is still unclear. However you will be able to make real choices that change the storyline. We hope that the final version will offer a great deal of choice.

The Flexibility of Expeditions Conquistador

Another aspect essential to any game such as this, is choosing your party. They will be having more than 30 unique followers. They will all have different skills for you to choose, of course. This sounds like something very basic, but it is important. Games like this simply do not work without a decent choice of followers.

The Combat of Expeditions Conquistador

The real meat-and-bones of this game is the combat. It will have hex-grid, turn-based combat. Only a few games do anything like this today. So far the combat looks about as you would expect it, choose your attack and go for broke. This was a particularly popular style all the way through the PlayStation 1 era, but it fell out of favor.

Expeditions Conquistador and Art

As you can see from the above pictures, the art is quite impressive. They have some seriously talented artists on this project. The combat map could perhaps use some polishing, but the story sequences are beautiful.We hope that the final version will be even more visually pleasing.
