Endless Space is getting a free weekend and update to encourage players. This one is a little different, as there will also be rewards for playing. These will come in the form of simple additional updates to the game.
The Endless Space Echoes of the Endless update
This particular update has a lot to offer. Let us go down each addition:
- New Exploration Rewards. This gives you more incentive to check out the whole universe.
- New Random Events. Everyone loves random events.
- Fresh types of wonders. These should switch up how you win.
- More natural events such as Comets, Black Holes, etc.
- Victory and Defeat End Game Pictures. Not a big deal, but nice.
- Special responses to diplomacy. These were much-needed, narrative responses.
- Five new music tracks. This game prides itself on quality music.
- Five new heroes. These also really extend the gameplay.
- Sentry mode for fleet actions.
- Auto-cycle button so you can review all your orders.
- A galaxy gen seed number shown in the pause menu, so you can write down ones you like.
- Altered Hero Ability Trees.
There have also been minor tweaks to Steam as well. Basically these are not big changes but could help the overall flow of Endless Space:
- The Steam regional parameter has been set to worldwide so everyone can play.
- Improved connections to the Steam servers themselves.
- Better game lobbies with better choices all around.

This particular weekend has something different for people. As more unique players play, small unlocks are added.
