Endless Space: Disharmony was recently announced. This expansion pack brings a new race, new heroes and more to the new universe.
The Story of Endless Space: Disharmony
An ancient race known as “the Harmony” has spent eons seeking “The Core” and their final destination. Dust unfortunately has interrupted their journey. They are beings of perfect order who cannot deal with the chaos created by Dust.
The story of Endless Space: Disharmony focuses on these new yet ancient creatures. The rest of the universe has a vested interest in the continued existence of Dust. A galactic war is now breaking out with “the Harmony” as the chief menace.
Features of Endless Space: Disharmony
This package brings quite a few big overhauls. Here are a few:
- A new race called “the Harmony”
- New fighter and bomber units
- A complete rework of the Ship Design Interface and an improved Weapon Design System
- New invasion types such as bombardments, sieges and land invasions
- Better AI for computer opponents
- Four new Heroes
- A new option to disable the exchange of tech
All of these should significantly change multiplayer battles. The tech exchange disabling is more significant as it sounds. It can make it much harder to tech all the way through your ladder quickly.
Continuing Free Add-ons with Endless Space: Disharmony
This edition also comes with plans to unlock the “Sheredyn Faction” for all players for free and the “Endless Hero” as well. The “Automaton ship models” are being added for all players as well.
The Endless Space: Disharmony Release Date
Right now it is slated for a Steam release June 26th, 2013 for $9.99. A full version with key-only box and 16 page artbook will be available June 28th. For more information be sure to check out Amplitude Studios. We are a little curious why they went with a full paid expansion after releasing so many free updates.
