Dying Light is a new survival horror by Warner Brothers with some impressive next gen graphics. In a market flooded with games of this type will theirs stand out? Take a look at what we know so far and decide for yourself.
The Dying Light Core Concept
While we aren’t sure whether it’s more Day Z or more Dead Island at this point the game focuses on a day and night cycle. During the day you have to scramble to get all the supplies and weapons that you can. Then you get assaulted by droves of highly aggressive zombies at night. Dynamic lighting is a huge part of the game as you can see above.
Melee combat is also a huge part of the game. You can create a variety of different melee items to survive through the night with. And there is an RPG system for leveling your character. Man this is sounding more and more like Dead Island. We just hope they do a better job. It’s being brought to you by the team that brought us Call of Juarez.
The Graphics of Dying Light
All other considerations aside the graphics are very good. Every part of the city is quite beautiful and glistens in the sun. It’s running on the Chrome Engine 6 which they have worked on quite some time. It looks like they have really improved it all around.
The Dying Light Development
While we have some reservations Warner Bros may be able to pull out something amazing. Most of their games lately have been pretty good so hopefully they will work hard on this new IP. If you love games like this then you might want to keep an eye on it.
